Who we are

Anchor Her is a members' club run by St. Magdalen Institute Ry, a registered association (NGO) in Finland, Business ID 3341152-7. We connect mothers raising children alone or through life's transitions with trusted professionals and with women who have been there too.

St. Magdalen Institute Ry is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us about anything in this policy at legal@anchorher.eu.

What we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address and the membership you chose. Mothers also tell us their country and city, the number and ages of their children, and their primary need (legal, women's health, childcare, emotional support, education or financial guidance).

Professionals, educators and childcare providers who join the club provide their professional details — area of expertise, services offered, biography and a profile photo — which are shown in the members' directory once approved.

When you use the matching quiz or send a connection request, we store your answers, including anything you write in your own words about your situation, so our team can match you personally.

We also keep technical records needed to run the site securely, such as sign-in logs.

How we use your data

We use your data to create and manage your account, to match you personally with suitable professionals, to show approved professionals in the directory, and to send you service emails such as sign-in links and your welcome message.

Connection requests, including the situation you describe, are shared with the professional you chose so she can decide whether the request fits her expertise. Our team also reads quiz answers and requests to make matches by hand.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who can see your information

Your profile is visible only to you, to members you are connected with, to our team, and — if you are an approved professional — to signed-in members browsing the directory.

Mothers are never listed publicly. Only approved professionals appear in the directory, and only after our team has verified them.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile, preferences and connections. Some records may be kept longer where the law requires it, for example accounting records for paid memberships.

Your rights

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent at any time.

To use any of these rights, email legal@anchorher.eu. You also have the right to complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi) if you believe we have handled your data unlawfully.

Security

Your data is stored on secure servers within the EU/EEA. Access inside our team is limited to the people who need it to run the club and make matches.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update this page and, for significant changes, email members. The date of the latest version is shown below.
